Family Closeness: The Pope family is a close-knit group. We love and support each other through thick and thin. We know that we can always count on each other, no matter what. This August, we had the opportunity to come together for a family reunion. It was a wonderful time to reconnect with loved ones and to celebrate our family bond. We shared meals, played games, took 360 photos, and simply enjoyed each other's company.
Our family closeness is a gift from God. He has blessed us with a strong bond that cannot be broken. We are grateful for the love and support that we receive from each other. During our family reunion, we were also proud to celebrate the many accomplishments of our family members. We acknowledged academic achievements, career advancements, and new family additions.
We are especially excited for our younger family members who are returning to school this fall. We know that they will do great things, and we are excited to see what the future holds for them.
Update: On August 27, 2023, we suffered the loss of our beloved Janie Luck. Janie was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. As we know, the loss of a loved one is always difficult. It is natural to feel grief, sadness, and anger. But we know that Janie is in a better place now.
She is with the Lord, and we celebrate her contributions to this family as we carry on her legacy of hope, charity, tenacity, and kindness.
Healing from the loss of a loved one takes time. There is no quick fix. But we can find healing through our faith in God and through the support of one another. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted. He understands our pain, and He wants to help us heal. He promises to give us peace that surpasses all understanding.
